UP was amazing. I almost teared up more than once.
I agree with you that the 3D made much more of a difference in the previews than the movie. I had seen the first preview on YouTube several times and I kinda chuckled at it, but later when I saw the exact same preview on a big screen in 3D, it somehow made it infinitely funnier.
"Partly Cloudy" was funny, but it disappointed me in the sense that the problem was never actually resolved. I think Presto is still my #1 favorite Pixar short film.
Eh. Well, if you liked Nemo, then I'm not going to like UP. I tend to dislike Pixar films, Toy Story and WALL-E being the only exceptions.
And yeah, the 3D on top of 3D tends to not do anything besides make the movie cost more and not let you use ticket passes.
I guess I find the ones that make me laugh and cry better cause I loved toy story as well (maybe it was the second one, when the doll is dumped on the side of the road)
WallE was just propaganda about our lazy asses and basically how we need to go green fast. I really liked their extremities about the subject but it got tiresome fast.

Finding Nemo was top of yer list? I thought Ratatouille was great and Wall-e was super cute. I can't wait for the movie to reach cinemas here, but it'll probably take another additional fucking gazillion years.
Ratatoulle was great, Wall E was good I guess, I found WallE to be more of a lesson to mankind more than a fun movie. I loved the design of it but it was kind of boring IMO.
Do the characters all have perfect teeth in this movie? Dunno why all 3d studios have to give their characters perfect oral hygene. Even in things that dont even have teeth, like fish. Its just irritating, i dunno why. I end up just questioning it the whole movie and just all around hate it.
Actually no the second character you are introduced to has a giant tooth gap. Super cute girl though.

that movie was the biggest mixture of sadness and hilarious comedy i've ever seen. like the whole thing about his wife dieing, and his house catching on fire, and how nobody likes poor Dug.... saad... but then there were so many el oh el moments, it certainly made up for the depression.
also, lots of unrealistic things... and i mean besides the fact that you can't lift a house with balloons, and dogs cant fly airplanes. like, that 78 year old man would have broken at least 4000 bones with all the tumbling and crashing he did. not to mention theres no way he would have been able to climb an upside-down ladder on the side of a zepplin.
and how old must the explorer guy who owned the dogs and the blimp be? at least 110 years old. and how the hell did he fuel his zepplin? don't say solar power, those clearly sounded like diesel engines to me.........
.................. but really.... it was a good movie. i liked it..... i'm serious, it was good...
That WAS going to be one of my complaints (the unrealistic nature of the film) but if you think back, ALL of them are unrealistic so this one is no different.
